Subscribers can start navigating for data available on the site through any of the following three different ways :

By clicking IP login tab (in case of IP based access) or by providing your log-in details (in case access is provided through username and password). IP login tab and option to provide Username and Password will come after clicking on Login tab available on the top banner of the site. |

By navigating the site |
Through the section "Socio-Economic Statistical Information about India" available on the home page. |

Through the "Search" box given on its home page. |

It is advisable to start navigating the site by first log-in as suggested below :
If you have been assigned access through username and password, please click on Login tab available on the top banner on the site and provide the said details in the boxes shown thereafter, as shown below:

If you have been assigned access thru IP access, you just require to click at "IP Login", shown below the username and password boxes on the top banner of the site, as shown below :

The site can be navigated for data either after making a Log in the site or even without Login. For navigation , please follow following steps :
Whether you are logged in or not, click on any of the available 34 main data categories presented under "Socio-Economic Statistical Information about India" shown on the site's homepage.

Click on any of the main data category will leads to a page where the alphabetical list of its sub-categories will be shown to you. Clicking a sub-category will lead you to a further sub-category or to the list of data table headings pertaining to the sub-category clicked. Above the listing of sub-categories, the listing of main data categories is available for the purpose of direct navigating to them from the page.

Click on any of the presented data sub-category will fetch you the list of data tables available for the data sub-category. The page showing data table heading shows you data at India level or State-wise or Region-wise consolidated data. Click on any State/ Union Territory/ Region name, would further take you to the data table listing page, for the clicked State/Union Territory Region, under the said heading.

Click the table heading to view the data table that will be shown in a separate window.

In case you have not logged in, the following window would appear asking you to login.

Once the data table is displayed, you may download the data table in MS-Excel, MS-Word or HTML format and/or print the table, subject to the rights assigned with your access.

You can also search the data available on site thru the "Search" box shown prominently on the top of the site.

The data available, relating to the keyword or phrase submitted by you would appear as search result in the form of a list of data table headings. You may click any table heading to view the data by following the instruction given in Para 'Navigating for Data' above.

We are now providing facility to create various Charts and India's maps with State boundaries. The created charts can be saved in .jpg, .pdf, and .png file formats whereas maps can be saved in .png format. This facility is available free of cost to the subscribed of the site only.

How to start |
Make Login using the subscribed mode of access.
Click on "Visualise Data with Charts and Maps" available on the top right of the data sub-category page.

How to select data for visualising charts & maps |
Download dataset from the site and save it on your system. You may also use your own dataset to create Charts and maps. |

How to visualise charts |
Fill the available fields with the accurate information to create charts.

Select the type of chart and theme to create chart.

A chart based on the provided information is created which can be saved in various available formats as shown below :

How to visualise Maps(this feature will only works on CHROME browser) |
Click on "Visualise Maps" and provide the requested information as shown below. Presently, map can only be visualised for state-wise information. To visualise state-wise map, provide data in front of the name of the each state for which map is needed to be visualised.

Map can also be visualised for Range-wise dataset. To visualise map for range-wise dataset, check the Range-wise tab available at the bottom. Provide the desired range of data-set. If required, different shades of colour may also be chosen to represent different ranges accordingly, as shown below :

Click on "Create Map" will create State-wise map for the provided information. The map created is downloaded in .PNG format.
